A Question Arrived

A question arrived this morning for me:

What happens when we cherish what’s here
without asking it to stay the same?

I’ve been noticing a tenderness lately.
Not because something is wrong—
but because something matters.

There are moments that feel like thresholds.
Nothing is broken.
Nothing is promised.

When my stories get loud
and the future tries to arrive early,
I’m practicing this:

cherishing what’s here,
right now,
without asking it to be permanent.
